Katarina Severen is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker living in Los Angeles.
Originally from Lueneburg in Germany, she started writing short stories and poems at a young age- many of them published in the children's page of the town's newspaper. Soon after, she joined the children's chorus at the theatre and performed in several professional productions, including musicals, operas and plays, on stage. This ignited her love of performance- which would be here to stay.
A few years and a bachelor's degree in Film & Drama later, Katarina moved to London to pursue her career as an actress and filmmaker. However, when she began training at a professional wrestling school, what started out as a hobby soon became a successful career- so successful, in fact, that she ended up moving to the United States, having secured a contract with WWE, the largest professional wrestling company in the world. During her stint, Katarina embodied the character of 'Katie Lea', performing in front of thousands of fans every night.
Once her contract ended, Katarina moved to Los Angeles and returned to her first love: film. She has since then acted in many independent movies, written and directed a number of short films, a web series, won awards for her feature film scripts, and is now in pre-production on her first feature as a director: 'Ensnared'.
